La Bombonera

La Bombonera, a photo by Adrian Zissos on Flickr.

Adrian and I just got home yesterday. Had a very cool 3 days on a ship in south Patagonia. Saw penguins, whales, sea lions, dolphins, glaciers and beautiful mountains and was at Cape Horn. It was pretty cold and amazingly windy and we had a night with very rough seas, but a great experience to be that far south.
Then we spend a few days in Buenos Aires - what a fabulous city. It’s crazy how European it is and looks. Tons of rich Europeans moved there in the 1800s and built a mini-Europe. Adrian’s highlight for sure was going to a Boca Juniors soccer game. The energy in the stadium was palpable. (Guardian paper says the ultimate sports experience is to watch a Boca / River Plate game at this stadium).

Great sushi dinner last night with Chandra, AJ, Kali, and MJ.

  1. Wow what a fantastic trip. How great to get to a game too. I've really enjoyed the marvellous pictures but for some reason seem to have difficulty in adding comments myself and had to resort to email at times.
We had difficulties getting wifi here - we're at the university Gasthaus which is a beautiful mansion at the edge of forest and Peter walks to work in the forest most of the way.
Now wifi is sorted in the apartment and I found an Apple store in Frankfurt, right in the centre a bus and train ride away, so I can retrieve what I've forgotten or has disappeared .
Great News that Nick, Mag and boys will visit us for 4 days at the end of Feb. They go home 29th and we move to IoWight that day too. It will be so good to see them I've missed family so much
Much love to all - Hope you had good valentines day!, Mum/Grandma
